Harvest Crusades are designed for Christians to invite others to hear the life-changing gospel in a nonthreatening environment, and are held at the invitation of unified local churches wanting to impact their communities.”

“Jews for Jesus”“Jewish people from different backgrounds who have all come to believe that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah. It is our passion to share this belief with our Jewish people around the world.”

“The Gideon’s International” is an “association of Christian business and professional men and their wives dedicated to telling people about Jesus through associating together for service, sharing personal testimony, and by providing Bibles and New Testaments.”; known for Bibles in hotel rooms and pocket Bibles for students.

“Youth With a Mission” (YWAM) – missionary training with focus on discipleship and placement in short-term missions.

MISSIONS / CARE ORGANIZATIONS:

“All for Jesus” is a ministry founded for the orphans of Swaziland – to provide care, share love of Jesus, and provide for needs (now expanded to the impoverished of Sri Lanka, India); founder, Jared Martin, and I were both members of the same mission team (see “Heart for Africa” below); he and his wife sold their home to start this ministry, and God has blessed their efforts.

“CareNet” “Each year nearly one million babies die from abortion. It’s our duty as Christians to stand in the gap for these children and protect their right to life”; support for local pregnancy centers all over the U.S.

“Compassion International” – “child-advocacy ministry that pairs compassionate people with those who are suffering from poverty. The ministry releases children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty. The goal is for each child to become a responsible and fulfilled adult”; child sponsorships available.

“CRU” – college campus ministry focused on “winning people to faith in Jesus Christ, building them in their faith and sending them to win and build others and helping the body of Christ to do evangelism and discipleship through a variety of creative ways”

“Heart for Africa” (previously Dream for Africa founded by Bruce Wilkinson begun to plant backyard gardens for every family in Swaziland, Africa); I was privileged to be part of a 2005 team and am still in touch with the pastor there; now offer “Project Caanan Academy” and “El Rofi Medical Center”.

“Open Doors” – mission is to help Christians who are being persecuted around the world; “World Watch List” helps us to stand with them through prayer, advocacy, giving and more.


“Salvation Army” – “mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination”.

“Samaritan’s Purse”“For more than 40 years, Samaritan’s Purse has shared the eternal hope and peace found only in Jesus with men, women, and children who are victims of war, poverty, disaster, disease, and famine”; also provide Christmas boxes for kids around the world through “Operation Christmas Child”.

“Voice of the Martyrs”“Serving persecuted Christians through practical and spiritual assistance, and leading other members of the Body of Christ into fellowship with them”; founder was Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, whose story is told in the film, “Tortured for Christ” (trailer); free monthly newsletter;
“and pray for the persecuted”.
