It’s easy to live in a state of fear and confusion with so many things going on all around us. It’s no wonder that people have difficulty understanding what to believe. It’s even hard for those of us who know the Bible well, but we know to cry out to God when we feel overwhelmed. He then fills us with His amazing peace, which cannot be found in this world. I pray more people will realize that He’s waiting for them to seek Him and that the Holy Spirit would soften their hearts to the truth and to God’s Word. In spite of all that is going on or perhaps even because of it (only God knows the answer), He is revealing Himself more all the time to whomever will seek Him. This website is called “Eyes to C” because Jesus mentioned having eyes to see and ears to hear so He can heal us.

“Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:

‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
And seeing you will see and not perceive;
For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should heal them.'”

One of the ways God is revealing Himself is through dreams and visions. There are increasing numbers of Muslims who have turned to Jesus as a result of encountering Him in a vision or a dream. The cost of converting to Christianity is very high and can be quite dangerous for them, as even their own family members may feel obligated to kill them. American Christians may find this difficult to imagine as it has historically been relatively easy to worship freely (although we are seeing the beginning of persecution within our own nation in recent years with lawsuits arrests, and limitations). When we listen to testimonies, we can see how the Lord is revealing Himself to people. Sean McDowell has a 60-minute video on this topic titled, “Are Muslims Encountering Jesus? A Surprise Awakening”. The book, “It’s Your Time to Follow Me” is one person’s story. He’s with Jesus now, but even though he didn’t live a long life, Nabeel Qureshi wrote numerous books. There are videos online as well. Here is a quote from one of his books:

“While I was wallowing in self-pity, focused on myself, there was a whole world with literally billions of people who had no idea who God is, how amazing He is, and the wonders He has done for us. They are the ones who are really suffering. They don’t know His hope, His peace, and His love that transcends all understanding. They don’t know the message of the gospel. After loving us with the most humble life and the most horrific death, Jesus told us, ‘As I have loved you, go and love one another’. How could I consider myself a follower of Jesus if I was not willing to live as He lived? To die as He died? To love the unloved and give hope to the hopeless?”

There are also increasing numbers of Jewish people who have recognized that Jesus is Yeshua, their promised Messiah, through dreams and visions as well as through reading the New Testament and listening to others share the gospel. Jesus was a Jew and His early followers were Jews who realized that Jesus was the Messiah promised by God of whom the prophets had written. “So Be It!” and “Highway 53” are two YouTube channels that offer video testimonies of Jewish people who have received salvation through Christ.

“But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”

Another YouTube channel that documents video testimonies of various people who have surrendered their lives to Jesus is “Delafé Testimonies”. They describe themselves as “a global project with the mission to create the world’s largest archive of Jesus testimonies until His return“, Another YouTube channel is “100 Huntley Street”, which also has numerous video testimonies. Hearing these testimonies is both encouraging and inspiring, and can keep us from the darkness with which Satan tries to surround us. If we are having difficulty determining what is true, we know that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. Therefore, if we find ourselves in darkness, the next step is to seek God in prayer and in His Word. Jesus died so that we could have freedom from the bondage of sin, hope for today, live in the light while in this broken world and at the same time, look forward to being in heaven with Him forever.

A second way that God is revealing Himself is through His Creation. The evidence being uncovered in recent years with DNA, Biology, Astronomy, the design seen in animals, and even the simplest life forms is all pointing to a genius Creator. There are outstanding ministries that can keep us updated in the latest discoveries:

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is [e]manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools“

A third way God is revealing Himself more is through Archaeology. So many discoveries are being made that support the biblical account. One of the most fascinating ones is the controversial Shroud of Turin. NASA and other scientists have studied the it and admit that they cannot identify the source of the image or reproduce it. There is a 90-minute, but very interesting Michael Knowles interview with a former skeptic of the validity of the shroud being the image of Jesus, Dr. Jeremiah Johnston. He is founder of the “Christian Thinkers Society”. Helpful resource sites on archaeological discoveries that support the biblical account include:

God has already revealed Himself to us is through His Word, which contains numerous fulfilled prophecies and promises. “Got Questions” answers the question, “How many prophecies did Jesus fulfill?”. When we understand that those are true, we tend to look more closely at the prophecies that are yet to take place. “Got Questions” also has a timeline of end times events. A very helpful resource to understand both the prophecies in the Bible and the times we are in is “The Prophecy Pros Podcast”. Pastor David Jeremiah of “Turning Point Ministries” and Amir Tsarfati of “Behold Israel” are also good sources of end times teachings. There are 19 seasons of half hour episodes that are binge-worthy. According to Scripture, a number of things are falling into place for the return of Jesus, which means that time is short and we should be about our Father’s business so those who have not yet responded to His free gift of eternal salvation may have the opportunity to do so. He wants all to be saved, but things will get harder in the world before He returns to bring His children home and fight and be victorious over evil once and for all.

“Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?’ And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. ‘Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.’“

Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.’ Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new’. And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful’. And He said to me, ‘It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death’.”

Revelation 21:1-8

“For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 6:20-23
